TEcoArt as the name implies, began thinking of ways to become an ecologically responsible business by recycling computer hardware into interesting clocks and art pieces. “TEco,” stands both for technology and ecology and well, you get the rest.

 The replacement of technology takes place in dramatic proportions, month after month after month. This is wonderful for technology which we embrace, but hazardous to landfills which we do not embrace. There are some precious metal recovery processes that help but there is still way too much material that makes it to the environment, and not in a very friendly way.

The artists in our studio take great pride in the fact that each and every piece of past technology they turn into clocks and art helps the environment. They hope your appreciation is as much for the ecological basis of the artwork as it is for the interesting, one-of-a-kind conversation pieces they have created. We acquire hundreds of hard drives and other computer hardware for our projects. We feel quite proud that we have found a way to uniquely recycle computer components destined for some landfill using very little energy in the process. We hope you enjoy our clocks and “artware” and come back for more. Don’t forget about your family, friends, co-workers and especially, your always dependable/appreciated “geek.”

We are located in sunny Lakewood Ranch, Florida so we always include some sunshine along with our “artware,” there is plenty to go around!
